Yesterday-Today-and-Tomorrow
Brunfelsia pauciflora
Yesterday-Today-and-Tomorrow shrub with purple lavender and white flowers

Overview
Yesterday-today-and-tomorrow is a nonnative evergreen shrub whose fragrant flowers open purple, fade to lavender, and finish white. Several colors appear on the plant at once during bloom.
Mature Size
Expect 3 to 8 feet tall and 4 to 6 feet wide, depending on cultivar and pruning.
Light and Water
Morning sun with afternoon shade works well in Tampa. Water consistently during establishment and dry weather without keeping roots saturated.
Soil and Drainage
Use rich, slightly acidic, well-drained soil. Mulch helps protect roots and preserve moisture.
Care
Prune after the main flowering period to shape the plant. Watch for whiteflies, scale, and spider mites in sheltered locations.
Landscape Uses
Use as a fragrant accent near patios, in protected courtyards, or within mixed tropical borders.
Best Planting Time
Spring is safest after frost danger declines. Early fall also works in warm protected sites.
Critical Safety Concern
All parts are toxic when eaten, especially the berries. Avoid planting where pets or children have access. Cold weather can damage foliage and stems.
