UF/IFAS Offers Free October 15 Webinar on Reducing Stormwater Runoff

UF/IFAS Extension Hillsborough County will present “Reduce Stormwater Runoff,” a free live Zoom webinar, on Thursday, October 15, 2026, from 10 to 11 a.m. Eastern. The session belongs to its ten-part Florida-Friendly Landscaping series for Hillsborough County residents.

The series welcomes homeowners, HOA board members, and community managers. It combines practical landscaping tips, real-world examples, and live questions and answers while introducing the nine Florida-Friendly Landscaping principles.

Registration is required separately for each webinar. Use the October 15 registration link in the UF/IFAS series announcement. The next scheduled topic is “Protect the Waterfront” on November 19.

For Tampa property owners planning landscape improvements, this session provides an opportunity to learn about runoff before discussing site-specific drainage and planting choices. The hero image illustrates a rain-garden concept; it is not a photograph of the webinar or a UF/IFAS project.
