Overview

Brazilian red cloak is a lush tropical shrub with very large glossy leaves and striking upright spikes of crimson bracts surrounding small white flowers.

Mature Size and Habit

It grows quickly into an upright shrub about 8 to 12 feet tall and 5 to 8 feet wide where winter cold is limited.

Use it as a flowering screen, tropical foundation plant, courtyard specimen, or dramatic backdrop.

Full sun encourages heavier flowering, while partial sun protects leaves from severe afternoon exposure.
